Companies win or lose in the marketplace based on their abilities to create teams of resources that work together to achieve a common goal. The team either performs well or doesn’t perform well. Companies are not an individual sport. The more we can think of our resources and players as one of a larger team, the better the service will be that we deliver.
Do you have resources that are playing the game without a team concept? If so, you are risking your brand, your image and your results! Be a team player. You will benefit your company by working to make the ‘whole’ successful. Pretend that other player on your team is an extension of your body. Many of you are struggling with this at your work. Your teammates aren’t communicating. Your teams aren’t working together. Teamwork is all but missing.
You wouldn’t starve your body of food, so why starve your teammates of information. Try to reinvigorate teamwork at your place of employment. Try it for 30 days before you reject the idea. Here’s to a more team friendly environment at all of your workplaces. Start today.
