New Study Finds Napping Good for the
Heart
Monday, February 12, 2007
A new study found that a little nap during the day could reduce the
risk of fatal heart problems, especially for men:
"In the
largest study to date on the health effects of napping, researchers
tracked 23,681 healthy Greek adults for an average of about six
years. Those who napped for about half an hour at least three times
weekly had a 37 percent lower risk of dying from heart attacks or
other heart problems than those who did not nap."
Try napping for a week and you won't be able to go without it. Your
health will improve, your productivity will improve, the quality of
your work will improve, and you will be more likely to end the day
with a smile.

If You Think It's the "Sick Building
Syndrome", Think Again
Wednesday, April 05, 2006
A study conducted by a team of British researchers
suggests that complaints of work-related syndromes such as respiratory
problems, eye irritations, and headaches appear to be caused more by the
requirements of the job itself than by the building.
"A study of more than 4,000 civil servants working in 44
office buildings around London found that the malady appears to be
related not to poor ventilation, excess humidity or indoor air
pollution, as has been suspected, but rather to job stress and lack of
support in the workplace."
