We added a miscellaneous section because each resume is unique. Depending on your background, qualifications or industry, you may want to add something extra to your resume. For example, if you are a graphic designer, it would make sense to add a graphic to your resume to show your creativity. If you are in a profession where you’ve created things, maybe adding a portfolio referencing what you have created wouldn’t be a bad idea… You know best who you are and what you have to offer. Take the time to figure it out. If you are not sure whether or not to include something in your resume, bounce the idea with your family and close friends and ask them what they think. Maybe what you are trying to convey will make you stand out, but for the wrong reason… They will be in position to give you their honest opinion. Although you will have the final say in terms of what to include in your resume, make sure to take their feedback seriously.
